It's a new week at JH Knox Intermediate!

Welcome to this week's edition of the JH Knox Notes!

We packed a lot into last week! Students started their NWEA Map testing, they completed the Wellington Engagement Index, we celebrated a football win over Selma Burke and our 8th grade Cheerleaders and Football players, progress reports were shared, and students received their first incentive for showing RISE behaviors.

This week, we finish up our regular season games for football and softball. Both teams have done an amazing job and we are so proud of their efforts! We're excited to get our winter sports season underway in October! Check ParentSquare and social media for information about tryouts and schedules!

As a school, we continue to strive for smooth transitions between classes and treating one another with respect. Our goal is to create a school environment where every student and staff member feels safe, valued, and challenged.

Today is your last chance to order from our online SPIRIT GEAR store! Show that Trojan pride with new gear!

Thank you for all you do to support JH Knox Intermediate! Have an amazing week!

Student Advisory Council

Several students have reached out recently about their interest in sharing their thoughts and ideas about how to make JH Knox Intermediate the BEST!

I am excited to share that this week I plan to visit each of our Social Studies classes in grades 3-8 to provide information about our Student Advisory Council.

Over the next two weeks, interested students will have the opportunity to complete an interest form and create a short statement to share with their class. Each social studies class will vote on their representative with the plan to announce the final council on Friday, October 2.
